Is there a waiting list?
Our low-income, non-Medi-Cal eligible clients may
have a waiting list of up to two weeks or longer. The
staff resources for non-Medi-Cal mental health clients
limit the number of clients who can be accepted at any
one time. Our major referrals for the publicly funded
programs - mental health, dual diagnosis, and CalWORKS
Health Alliance - come from the public agencies and
from individuals requesting specific services. There
are occasional waiting lists for the publicly funded
services. We encourage individuals to call about availability
of the services.
Are there any fees?
Fees for each of the services are based on the ability
to pay, or according to insurance co-payment requirements.
What languages are spoken?
|
English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese,
Cambodian, Arabic, Bosnian, Russian. English,
Spanish and Vietnamese are available in all programs.
Other languages are available in specific programs,
but we can recruit assistance from other staff
members to help those in need of the service.
|
What volunteer opportunities are available?
Office assistance, mentoring.

Our goal is to work with you to achieve reasonable
goals that you believe will help you and your family
to be productive. For example, we may work with you
to improve your communication and relationship skills
or to manage chronic health conditions. You may need
help to improve school and/or employment performance
or to discover that you have value as a person. Your
goals are important to us as we work with you.
The length of time an individual or family may receive
services depends on the individual's/family's needs,
ability to work with a counselor and the individual
program requirements. Some services extend more than
one year. Others are brief and usually less than 12
sessions.
