Financial Education Services provides a range of programs to help low-income individuals and families develop healthy budgeting, spending and savings habits. Catholic Charities believes financial education to be a core skill for all our clients, young and old, in their attainment of economic self-sufficiency.

Free Tax Preparation -- Amended & Prior Year Returns (Year-round)
New! The Tax EZ Program offers free tax preparation for amended and prior year returns for low income families. Services will be available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Call (408) 325-5241 for an appointment.
Individual Development Account (IDAs)
Individual Development Accounts are designed to help low income people gain assets such as higher education, small business, retirement savings, and homeownership. It’s a matched savings program that gives $2 for every $1 saved by the participant. In addition, the program provides 15 hours of money management classes to help savers attain their goals.
